Abstract

I question that love, like other feelings, has a situational character, which means that the ways in which subjects position themselves in a relationship start from certain “codes”, situating them and positioning them in a specific context. particular history. This involves considering the meanings attributed to love in broader social representations, the notions of person and the place of love in social life. Thus, I propose to think of emotions as elements of a contextual, volatile and transitory nature, and not as an intrinsic dimension to the self that would be deeply embedded in the minds or soul of their bearers.
